BEA Systems Warton
Location – Warton
Start date 03/04/23 – End Date – 19/05/23
Site 1 involved the construction of a new 22.5 meter communications tower, where 16 x Augured piles and 4 piles per pile cap where installed. Each pile cap has a dimension of 1.6m x 1.6m x 0.750m deep. To ensure safety and accuracy, vacuum excavation was employed due to the area being busy with underground services.
Site 2, we constructed a 10m x 10m x 0.950m foundation for a 25 meter communications tower.
Lossiemouth Radar
Location – Lossiemouth
Start date 03/04/23 – End Date – 19/05/23
Site – Erected a 10 x 10 x 1.4 tower base, (larger than normal due to high sand content under the surface) with a cabin base, electrical feeder pillar, 300 meters of LV trench and cable, concrete loading ramp, cross site Fibre connectivity and a 22-meter tower.
RAF Lossiemouth Silverhill
Location – Lossiemouth
Start date 03/04/23 – End Date – 19/05/23
Site – WAN/WAM Ground Station and part of the new Radar Operating System. The palisade fence is for security and the sub-terrain route for the fibre has lockable B125 chambers with MoD Approved padlocks.
Aberporth
Location – Aberporth
Start date 06/06/23 – End Date – 14/07/23
Site – Built the main tower base which is 7.5 x 7.5 x 1 meter deep, the control cabin base which is 11.5 meters x 5.4 meters and installed 4.5 kilometers of fibre cable from the Radar compound to the Main Camp.
Built 3 areas of compacted Type 1 stone for a tower storage area, tower build area and a crane pad for lifting the tower sections into place.
Installation of the earth matrix for lightening protection, a drainage and soakaway system for the ground water, 120 meters of 3 meter security fence and a compacter Type 1 finish for the Radar compound
